According to a media report by Ma Dexing, the UAE Professional Football League has decided to set aside 5 million dinams (approximately less than RMB 10 million) each season starting next year to reward the UAE club for the AFC Champions League.
In this year's AFC West Asia competition, only Ahli Shabab among the four UAE teams reached the top 16 but stopped in the 1/8 finals. So far, the UAE has missed the quarterfinals of the AFC Champions League for the third consecutive year.
As the UAE Football Club’s performance in the AFC Champions League has continued to be sluggish in recent years, the UAE Professional Football League decided at a meeting on the 20th to set aside 5 million dinams each season to encourage the UAE Football Club to fight in the AFC Good results.
It is reported that the 5 million dinams will be allocated to the UAE clubs competing in the AFC in stages. If they qualify in the group stage, they will receive a part of the bonus; after entering the knockout round, the amount of the bonus will be in the group qualifying bonus. The basis is doubled until reaching the finals.
If any team can win the championship, there will be another bonus. According to the plan of the UAE Professional League, if the bonus is not paid out this year, it will be moved to the next season for stacking use.
